We'd like to thank all the families, agencies and partners that have helped us get the Region 7 Family Resource Center get up and running.  Did you know that we can assist you to attend conferences?  There are two conference coming up - one this fall in Boise: the Spirit of Community Conference on October 17-19th and the other is in Idaho Falls in the spring: the Tools for Life Conference on

Mission: "Our aim is to keep children with disabilities with their families through respect, support and assistance. Thus making the child's future more secure and communities more capable and accepting."

  • CDF serves children and their families in Region 7 by providing assistance for Idaho families of children with developmental disabilities.  What types of assistance do they provide?  CDF is a non-profit organization that provides funds to assist families care for children with developmental disabilities in their home.  These funds may be used to purchase:

  • Adaptive Equipment

  • Housing Modifications

  • Specialized Clothing

  • Specialized Evaluations

  • Therapy

  • If funds are available, they may be used for respite

  • CDF works closely with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.  Any family in Region 7 who cares for a child - ages birth to 21 - who has a developmental disability may be eligible for funds.  It is important to know that the CDF funds are limited and should be considered when all other resources have been exhausted.

  • Parent-to-Parent, Inc is a non-profit support group for the parents of children with disabilities.  We are a local network of parents who have children with developmental delays, disabilities, and special needs. We share information, support each other and help to enrich each others lives.

  • Please join us and learn more about what we do and how you can both receive support and be a support to others.  Meetings are held every Friday from 12pm to 2pm at the Children’s Center located at 1675 Curlew Drive in Ammon.  Free childcare and lunch is provided.  For more information, call (208) 542-0875.
