Tools for Life is for anyone who has an interest in supporting individuals with disabilities as they transition from school to adult life. High school students and their families are highly encouraged to attend this dynamic conference. Other attendees might include:

The two-day event will include presentations by regional and national experts on issues surrounding secondary transition and assistive technology.  Speakers include: LeDerick Horne—discusses his experience with learning disabilities and finding his career path. He has spoken to thousands of students, teachers and providers around the

Special Populations Learning Outdoor Recreation and Education (SPLORE) - this Utah based organization has some amazing knock out trips for families who experience disabilities to consider—winter activities, canoeing, climbing, and rafting.  They even use a sliding scale to determine cost!

Do you know someone with a disability who wants to dance or learn more about dance? There are many dance companies around the country and the world who have integrated classes and performances. We believe that individuals with disabilities and their families know best!
We’d like to share how you have succeeded in finding, making, funding or creating resources such as assistive technology or adaptive equipment. Online now is a pattern to make a weighted blanket that we received from a group of families who  sew in

Text Box: country. Sujeet Desai—an accomplished musician who shares his story of self-advocacy, learning and his career accomplishments. Marilyn Howard, Idaho’s Superintendent of Public Education—will present the luncheon keynote on Feb. 28th. 
The $5 (students) or $10 registration fee includes lunch on both days, access to the Exhibit Hall where many Assistive Technology vendors and agencies will have displays, and even a comedy show and dance on Feb 27th from 6:30-10pm.
